Maria and her best pal Karon are house hunting around the stunning lake and town of Viñuela in Malaga. Maria and her late husband fell in love with the area on holiday and dreamt of moving permanently to the region. Now widowed, Maria still wants to realise their dream and with the help of Karon she believes the rest of her life starts here. About the area

A 3 hour flight to Malaga and around a 50 minute drive takes you to Vinuela in southern Spain. The area is dominated by spectacular scenery, including the man-made Lake Vinuela set against the back-drop of the Sierra de Tejeda mountain range. Named after the village nearby which is nestled in the valley, Lake Vinuela is an important source of water but with sailing and canoeing on offer here and also some beaches, as well as being less than half an hours drive to the coast, it’s also a popular place for holidaymakers.
