Marketing Manager

We are a market-leading team of 12 based in London Bridge running the international property portal, A Place in the Sun Live exhibitions and A Place in the Sun magazine. Most recently we have extended the Channel 4 brand’s reach across the overseas property sector by launching A Place in the Sun Currency.

We have a lot going on and need more help in the form of a marketing manager to join the senior team and help direct the next phase of growth.

The main responsibilities revolve around two key areas; our three exhibitions and ensuring we deliver our exhibitors a high-quality audience of potential house buyers, and positioning as the number one destination for anyone thinking of buying a holiday home overseas.

You will directly manage three staff who look after content, email marketing and social media with the remit to review the direction of your team. You will lead on key supplier relationships including our SEO and ticketing agencies and drive developments in email automation. The media plan around each exhibition is yours to define and you will play a key role on-site at our events.

This is a major appointment for our business and we want someone who knows more than we do to show us the way. The role suits someone with a professional marketing qualification, a proven marketing background and a particular interest in digital businesses. You may not have worked directly on consumer exhibitions but have the interest to learn what is involved.

Salary to £40-45,000 plus bonus dependent on experience.

Business Development Manager

A Place in the Sun Currency launched this year to help British buyers with the transfer of funds to purchase their overseas home. We're the new kid on a busy block determined to make a difference.

This new venture is the official currency service of the long-running TV series and joins the wider family of A Place in the Sun magazine, A Place in the Sun Live and

A Place in the Sun Currency now requires a motivated business development manager to work with us and explain what we can offer our existing advertiser and exhibitor clients and how they can benefit from referring business to A Place in the Sun Currency.

The role suits someone who has developed business for a currency provider or has a good understanding of the overseas property sector backed with strong presentational skills and the nous to listen to potential clients and understand if we can help. Reporting directly to senior management, you will have the freedom to develop your strategy and the support of existing commercial relationships with overseas estate agents and other partners.

The role can be based in our currency office in Rickmansworth or our main office in London Bridge, with time spent between the two as well as regular overseas trips.

Starting salary of £30-36,000 with an OTE of £50,000.
