Cádiz and its neighbouring province of Huelva are often referred to as the Costa de la Luz – “Coast of Light” because of the crystal clarity of the blue skies in the region.
Famed for white sandy beaches along a relatively unspoilt Atlantic-facing coastline, the Costa is a popular destination for tourists - still, it has managed to avoid the built-up resort infrastructure and busy excesses of some of Spain’s other Costas.
Cádiz is Andalucía’s southernmost province and offers potential home buyers the benefit of a very diverse terrain, which gives them lots of choice – not only of where to buy but also of places to visit and explore in the surrounding area.

Getting to the Costa de la Luz from the UK is straightforward. Flights to the provincial capitals of Cádiz and Huelva take about two hours 40 minutes.
