About the area

Roquetas de Mar is both a town and province only 12 miles from Almeria Airport on the south eastern coast of Spain. Backed by the Sierra de Gádor mountains, the area enjoys a sheltered climate with balmy temperatures and very little rain, but is still a relatively unknown gem along the Costa Almeria, which means its wide sandy beaches often feel quiet and unspoiled.

Roquetas de Mar town has a lot going on though. There are shopping centres, restaurants and bars galore, and even both an amphitheatre and an auditorium playing musical theatre and comedy shows.Roquetas de Mar, known for its affordability in southern Spain, has witnessed an 8% price increase over the last 12 months. The market here appeals to buyers from both Spanish cities and an increasing number of northern Europeans.
