About the area

It's about a three-hour flight from the UK to Malaga and then a 20-mile drive south. Two-thirds of the population are Spanish, so the area retains a really authentic, traditional charm. As well as being known for its scenic golf courses, there are also 15 beaches in Mijas Costa. The main stretches are wide and sandy, the perfect spot for sunbathing. Meanwhile, the pretty whitewashed town, or pueblo, can be found higher in the hillside at 430 metres above sea level. There are cobbled streets and picturesque plazas with charming architecture and delightful places to eat and drink.
