About the area

To get to the Costa de Almería in the south of Spain, you fly to Almería Airport, which takes about three hours from the UK. You can drive to everywhere in the region in an hour and a half or less. The Costa de Almería has more than 130 miles of stunning coastline, which is a great mix of lively holiday resorts and quieter, more secluded spots. And while you wouldn’t exactly call it a hidden gem anymore, this costa is more laid-back and less developed than many of Spain’s other costas. It’s definitely increased in popularity with buyers from all over Europe in recent years. It’s still more affordable to buy in Almería compared to the neighbouring Costa del Sol, but the market here is heating up.
