About the area

To get to Paphos Airport, you can fly from all over the UK in around four and a half hours. Thanks to its rich history of ancient ruins, Paphos was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. Since then, it's become a popular destination for Brits attracted by the laid-back lifestyle, beautiful beaches, and stunning landscapes.

According to one colourful legend, a rocky outcrop marks the spot where Aphrodite, the goddess of love, emerged from crystal-clear waters. Property prices here have risen steadily over the past couple of years, and a ready-to-move-into one-bedroom apartment in Paphos Town itself could easily set you back around £120,000. But if you're willing to look in neighbouring resorts like Polis and Peyia, you could pick up similar properties for between £60,000 and £80,000.
