Sally and daughter Tara from Nottingham are on the hunt for a holiday home in Manilva, Spain, which three generations of their family can all enjoy. Armed with their budget of £190,000 Craig Rowe shows them five properties but do any of them fit the bill?
About the area
Manilva is both a town and a region along Spain’s Costa del Sol, just under an hour’s drive west from Málaga Airport, to which there are loads of direct flights from the UK taking around three hours. We’ll be searching around the region’s fine-mar seafront and some of the surrounding coastal towns and villages nearby, like Casares Costa and La Duquesa, which has a really pretty port.
One of the most charming aspects of Manilva is that there’s a lack of high-rise buildings and a lower number of tourists here, so it retains a lovely traditional feel and sense of community amongst its peaceful sandy beaches and welcoming cafés and restaurants.
