Hairdresser Sandra and builder Dave first got together 9 years ago after Sandra’s boss set them up on a date. Now, with four children and three grandchildren between them–they want to buy a holiday home in Southern Alicante for them and all the family to enjoy. Ben Hillman has 5 great properties to show them for their £100,000 budget but will any of them be perfect enough to make an offer?

About the area

Southern Alicante is a popular and easy to reach area with regular flights on a variety of airlines arriving from across the UK. The flight time from London is around two hours and forty five minutes. This stretch of glorious Spanish coastline has long been popular with holiday makers and ex pat’s, especially us Brit’s. In fact as a region it has the highest number of foreigners in Spain, in some coastal towns it’s around fifty percent, creating a wonderfully cosmopolitan holiday vibe. With some well-known but pricey areas to the north of the region like Denia and Benidorm, we’re heading south towards Gran Alacant as it’s very much an up and coming area with some great urbanisations I think will be perfect for Sandra and Dave.
