About the area

La Duquesa lies on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain between Marbella and Gibraltar, to get there, you can fly to Malaga from most UK airports in around three hours, then it’s just over an hours drive. La Duquesa, which literally means the Duchess, dates back to Roman times, and has grown from a small fishing village in the early 1970s to the popular holiday town we have today. It’s best known for its stunning marina, one of the best in the Costa Del Sol, but even if you don’t fancy getting out on the water, there’s loads to do on dry land in terms of shops bars and restaurants.
