About the area

If you’re looking for a city that’s modern yet packed with history, bathed in Spanish sunshine and only a two to three hour flight from the UK, this is a great place to come. Founded by the Romans and under Islamic rule for over five hundred years before becoming the capital of the Valencia region, as it is today, there’s history and interesting architecture at every corner. Alongside some stand out modern editions like the ‘city of arts and science’ home to an aquarium and museum. But don’t forget we are on the coast here, so of course there’s a stunning stretch of Mediterranean beach as well as some relaxed coastal resorts within reach.
