About the area

Tenerife takes about 4 and a half hours to fly to from the UK – and with its main airport being in the south of the island, the south west coast is very easy to access. Tenerife, known as the Island of Eternal Spring, is the largest of all the Canary Islands both geographically and in terms of population – more than a million people live here year round, and they’re joined by more than five million holiday makers each year, more than a third of who come from the UK! The south western coast is the most popular area for tourists, and is a great mix of lively beach resorts and quieter coastal towns and villages.
