Ben Hillman is house hunting around the glorious whitewashed village of Cómpeta in southern Spain with Jen and Ed, two teachers in search of somewhere to relax, unwind and enjoy the school holidays with their beloved dog Nancy. They have a budget of £200,000 and Ben has 5 great properties to impress them with.
About the area
Cómpeta is one of Spain’s best known ‘pueblo blancos’ or white villages, roughly an hour’s drive east of Malaga and its airport. Beautifully peaceful and traditional yet still with plenty going on around its central square and restaurant lined streets it’s a popular place. There are also a handful of smaller but equally pretty locations nearby such as Canillas de Albaida and we’re also within reach of some stunning coastal towns like Torrox offering a more authentic Spanish beach experience.
