About the area

To get to the Costa Almeria in the south of Spain you can fly to Almeria airport which takes about 3 hours from the UK – then it’s just under an hour’s drive north east to Garrucha. The Costa Almeria has more than 130 miles of stunning coastline – but there’s a lot more to this Costa than the old sun sea and sand – the region has a number of beautiful and historic towns as well as some great countryside, making it very popular with hikers and cyclists – plus as one of Spain’s main agricultural areas, you’re never far away from a tasty local treat and something nice to wash it down with!
