About the area

Almeria Province has remained unspoilt by tourism compared to other parts of the Spanish coast and has around 120 miles of beautiful beaches. The name Almeria comes from the Arabic for ‘The Mirror’ as the area was regarded as the mirror of the sea. Further inland there are lots of lovely traditional villages, surrounded by a rugged, mountainous landscape. Even though the beaches are within striking distance, we will focus our search around inland towns like Albox and Arboleas which are around an hour’s drive from the airport.
