About the area

To get to Almeria in the south of Spain you fly to Almeria airport which takes about 3 hours from the UK – and everywhere in this small but perfectly formed province is an hour and a half’s drive or less from there. Almeria is best known – particularly with tourists – for its more than 130 miles of stunning coastline and lovely seaside towns – but inland, is equally attractive – with beautiful and historic hillside towns and villages and fantastic scenery. In recent years this part of the province has become increasingly popular with second home owners and Spanish city dwellers looking for a more relaxed way of life!
