Tenerife is the largest and most populated of the Canary islands, to get to its North coast its best to take a direct flight to Tenerife South, a 40 minute drive away. It really is an island of two halves and although the golden beaches in the south are where most of the tourists flock to, we’re house hunting in the lesser known north. Here its much greener, less busy and has those famous volcanic black sands. The north is home to the island’s capital, Santa Cruz. And also La Laguna, considered to be one of the most beautiful towns in Tenerife, because of its churches and buildings dating back to the 15th Century. With all this on offer North Tenerife really is the perfect place to quietly discover the island’s traditions and culture whilst also grabbing a tan on the beach!
