Malta - A Place in the Sun

Malta Ben Hillman

Ben Hillman is in Malta house hunting with Sharon and Nev from Salisbury, who love it there so much that they visit three times a year. The couple feel a strong connection to the island and hope to eventually move out permanently, but in the meantime enjoy family holidays in their new Maltese home. Ben has 5 great options lined up for their £160,000 budget, but will any be the dream for the couple?

It became independent from the UK in 1964, though the George Cross still forms part of its national flag, and the Maltese drive on the left and use British plugs! Indeed, Brits still flock here and it has often been voted The summer season lasts more than half the year (8 months) notching up 34 degrees in the height of summer and dipping to an average of around 10 degrees in the depths of winter (average temp for year is 20 degrees).
