Danni Menzies is in the beautiful coastal region of Puglia in the south of Italy with house hunter Marion who’s dreaming of buying a holiday home she can enjoy with her teenage daughter, friends and family. With best friend Bronagh also at hand to lend her support, Marion would love to find a three-bedroom villa close to the beach, but will Danni be able to deliver on her dream for her budget of £120,000?

About the area

Puglia is in the heel of Italy and the region has fifty beaches, spanning 500 miles of coastline. You can fly there directly to Brindisi airport, taking about three hours.

Brindisi itself is a port town with a beautiful promenade, palm-lined boulevards and great Baroque churches. But the best known city in Puglia is Lecce, often called the “Florence of the South” due to its fantastic Roman ruins and popular cafes and shops. With all this to offer plus it’s long, hot summers it’s the perfect place to experience an authentic slice of Italy.
