About the area

A four hour flight from the UK takes you to Crete, the largest Greek island in the Mediterranean sea, and to the region of Chania in the west. Home to the White Mountains national park, which covers a large proportion of the region, Chania also boasts endless stretches of coastline, with golden sandy beaches. The sea here is crystal clear – perfect for a spot of snorkeling.

With traditional villages dotted between olive and citrus groves to explore, and the city of Chania itself the second largest on the island, this area attracts thousands of visitors every year.
