Laura has come back to hear how life has changed for the better after they made the permanent move to Spain and the projects that they are really passionate about. Ben Hillman catches up with Graham and Yvonne who bought a 1 bedroom apartment in Alvor, Portugal for £145,000 in 2020 and finds out how life just gets better and better for this super relaxed couple.

Dawn and Steve wanted a 2 bedroom house with plenty of traditional features in or around their favourite town of Mijas Pueblo. Over the search it become clear that what they really needed was plenty of space and it wasn’t until the final property that they found exactly what they were looking for, and agreed a deal under budget at £203,000. 5 years later Laura is back to check out how their new home is working out and what changes they have made now they’re living there permanently. Plus Steve takes Laura to a local donkey sanctuary where he keeps busy volunteering.

Graham and Yvonne were originally looking for a large 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom property withing walking distance of their favourite town of Alvor. Ben Hillman scored four good contenders with the couple but when it came to decision time they went for the very first property they saw and agreed a deal at £143,000. And three years later Ben meets up with Graham and Yvonne and hears that the couple have now moved there permanently! He gets a tour of the apartment he helped them buy where the couple have made a few changes, plus there’s a short trip to the beach for a yoga workout!
