John and Daniel asked Ben Hillman for his help to find them a house with plenty of character and space around Cadiz on the southern tip of mainland Spain. Initially it was John was keen to look at big projects while Daniel’s preference was somewhere ready to move into. Getting the balance right in that respect became the biggest challenge. In the end they both agreed on a property that was a big project, but sadly couldn’t agree on a price with the owner. After filming they bought another renovation townhouse, and 5 years later Ben travels back to Cadiz, and can’t wait to check out what they bought and what renovation work they’ve done to the place! And there’s some kayak racing action too as Ben joins them on the Guadalete River.
