Location

Almachar is located in the low, undulating hills around the river valleys that run into the main valley of Velez-Malaga, hence offering an excellent climate, amongst the best in Europe. The village has plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and facilities and is only 15 minutes from the large country town of Velez-Malaga and 20 minutes from the coast at Torre del Mar.

The house

Situated just around the corner from a little bar, and the main square, and just off the main street that runs from the main square and the church square, the house is in a wonderful location, easy to get around with not too many steep hills and with panoramic views from the terrace – binoculars are a must in this house!

The lower front door, accessed at the top of a short set of steps, leads into a hallway (2.5 x 1.5m). Three steps lead up from the hall into the spacious living room (5 x 3.2m) with a door to the kitchen (3.5 x 3m) with a window over the views. There is a utility room off the kitchen too (2.5 x 0.75m) with a WC.

From the living room, a sweep of marble steps lead up to the middle floor hallway (1 to .1.5 x 3.5m) with double doors that lead out to the upper street on the other side. Off the hall is Bedroom 1 (4 x 3.5m plus wardrobe) and Bedroom 2 (3 x 3m) with a ‘juliet’ balcony overlooking the village. On this floor also is the bathroom (3 x 2m plus a separate door into a shower cubicle of 1.5 x 1.25m). This is a bathroom with a view!

From the middle floor hallway, white steps lead up to the top floor. Straight ahead is the door to the fabulous terrace (6 x 3m including a small wash room) and from here the views are always beautiful, fascinating and ever changing, as one can sit and watch so many aspects and activities of daily life within the panoramic village scene that spreads before one.

Also on this top floor is Bedroom 3 (2.5 x 2m) – this is a single room, plus an over-stairs store area and potentially an upstairs bathroom.
