This large group of linked ancient stone buildings, is in a small village, without shops, but just 2 miles from the pretty village of Goudargues, famously known as the "Venice of the Gard ". Here, there are lots of small shops, a lively weekly market, and lots of interesting restaurants and cafés. For more serious shopping there is the town of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, 10 miles away, with large supermarkets, a hospital, and very large weekly market. The charming historic towns of Avignon, Nimes and Uzes are an easy drive and there are major airports and TGV stations at convenient distances.
The village is in the 'Provence-Gard' region, in the Cèze valley, not far from the Cèze gorges, and just south of the Ardèche gorges. This is a big tourist region, with caves to visit, mediaeval villages, roman towns and ruins, and wine tasting with the famous Rhone Valley wines, and delicious local specialities to taste. This is a perfect location to take up an already established gites business.
