Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell slash the price of their Malibu home

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have sliced £2.2 million off the asking price of their Malibu Beach home in an effort to sell.

Now priced at £6.9 million, the four bedroom, four bathroom home has impressive sea views from the beachside balcony, a cinema, bar, gym, an office, wall to ceiling windows, walk-in closets, a meditation room and a 'spa inspired' bathroom as well as a separate guest house. The listing breathlessly describes it as "a rare and extraordinary offering that transcends time".

The Hollywood couple moved into the house in 1978 and left it largely untouched until 2005 when it was given an expensive upgrade and redesign. The house was first put on sale in 2010 but failed to shift and the couple have also attempted to rent it out, without success, first for $95,000 a month and then for around $80,000 a month.

Hawn and Russell have already moved out of the property and are currently living in an LA mansion a few blocks from daughter Kate Hudson, her beau Matt Bellamy and their baby boy, the couple's grandson.
