Costa Calma is a predominantly tourist town, built along the golden sandy beach at the end of the 1970s. Especially among German tourists, the place is very popular with many cafés and small shops. The village beach stretches for about 1.5 kilometres and is popular by families due to its location in a sheltered bay and the correspondingly calm water. In total, the beach stretches almost 30 kilometres to the south of the island.
