The nearest town (5-6 minutes by car) San Luis de Sabinillas, has the charm of a typical Spanish town, with a nice promenade lined with bars and restaurants. In Sabinillas you can also visit a traditional market every Sunday morning and every Friday there is a smaller market at the boardwalk. Just next to Sabinillas is the popular Puerto de la Duquesa, considered one of the best marinas at Costa del Sol. In the marina, you can book boat and fishing trips or just enjoy the wide range of restaurants and bars. A short walk from the marina there is a 17th century fortress in the small and quaint village of Castillo de la Duquesa - once a big Roman fishing village. Here you will also find a range of very good restaurants. Just 15 minutes from the apartment is Estepona, a very nice Spanish town where, for example, the "old town" with its pedestrian streets lined with geraniums in multicoloured pots is something one would not want to miss.
