Caudete and Villena are both traditional inlands Spanish market town. Both towns offer everything you need in the town for day to day living, including shops, banks, bars, restaurants, post office, supermarkets, dentists and medical centres. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools with sports centres with a variety of activities and classes on offer. Both towns also have tennis clubs with additional facilities and it must be mentioned that in Villena you have the world famous JC Ferro Tennis Academy. On Thursday in Villena and Friday in Caudete, the towns come alive with their weekly street market selling everything from vegetables, plants, kitchen-ware, snails, clothes and even the odd stall selling furniture. After buying all you need, there is nothing nicer than sitting down at one of the many bars to have a drink and a few tapas.


On the days you wish to go further afield, Caudete and Villena both have a fantastic motorway infrastructure providing an easy drive to Alicante, Valencia, Murcia and Albacete. Alicante airport and beach are just 45 minute drive, Valencia airport and beaches are just 75 minute drive. Villena also has two train stations, from where you can get to Alicante in just half an hour but the high-speed train allows you to get to Madrid in just over 2 hours.
