Vila do Bispo is situated on the rugged western coast of the Algarve. You’ll find small towns and villages dotted amongst large swathes of untouched countryside, perfect for those who want an escape from the hecticness of the modern world. The coastline of the western Algarve is part of the Costa Vicentina Natural Park. Its beautifully preserved beaches are ideal for water sports, and are far quieter than those on the central and eastern Algarve. In Vila do Bispo you’ll find the popular surfing spot of Sagres, right on the south western tip of Portugal. Sagres is also home to the historic headland of Cabo de São Vicente, colloquially known as “the end of the world”, a perfect spot to watch the sunset.
