Location

The village of Antimachia is one of the most well-known traditional settlements of Kos and the Dodecanese Islands. At just 1.5 kilometers from the airport, Antimachia offers a beautiful natural setting. On a small hill above the village lies the 14th century Venetian Castle which offers a magnificent view over the island of Kos. The traditional windmills (that still work) remain the symbol of Antimachia and a tourist destination that can be admired from every part of the village. The village is furthermore known for its picturesque neighborhoods with their traditional houses and enchanting landscape. Antimachia is also famous for its musical and dancing traditions.



Mastichari is the port near Antimachia from where ferries serve daily connections to the neighboring island of Kalymnos. The village offers plenty of seaside taverns with great local dishes and tastes, and you can find some of the most beautiful beaches in this region.
