In the village there are food shops; butcher-grill where you can taste excellent local meat accompanied by excellent Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine produced right at the foot of the village, in the fertile valleys; Cafe; places where you can taste typical products; pizzeria; restaurant; farmhouse; bank and post office; pharmacy and a swimming pool not far from the center. For mountain lovers, the Gran Sasso and the Majella, both within walking distance, offer unique scenarios to discover Abruzzo, the greenest region of Italy. The position of Capestrano is excellent because it allows you to reach both L 'Aquila and Pescara (and its international airport) in about 50 minutes, Rome in just under two hours.
