In Caramanico Terme, in the wonderful hamlet of Decontra, at 860 m above sea level and in the heart of the Parco Nazionale della Majella, mountain rich with wolves, deers, roes, flora and numerous paths to admire them. Decontra is the starting point of numerous paths that allow excursions and walks with snow shoes on the Mounts of Majella, on the Valleys of the rivers Orta and Orfento and on the Celestinian hermitages. In the hamlet still today you can meet the shepherds that with their flocks go in search of good grass. The unpolluted environment allows also a good production of honey. At a few km there is Caramanico, thermal centre famous for its sulfuric waters and site of the Museo Naturalistico Archeologico. In the area there are a lot of restaurants, shops and all the necessary services. Numerous the folkloric, cultural and enogastronimic manifestations. The village is well connected with the city of Pescara and in about 20 minutes you can reach the highway A25, the train station and ski centres. In about two hours you can reach Rome's ringroad.
