The house is a renovation and extension of an old stone house and has a rustic atmosphere to it. It is connected to mains electricity and mains water and there is a bore hole on the land.
The property is situated at the end of a lane in a small hamlet.
There is a gated entrance through the front garden to the property. Walking up to the porch, we reach the front door of the house. Upon entering, we have the kitchen to our right, which although small, is sufficiently equipped. Stable doors lead into the living room, with a fire place in one corner and French doors leading onto a large terrace with wonderful views into the surrounding countryside and into land. From the terrace there are steps to the attic, which is used for storage.

Back on the front porch, we go down the steps and onto the ground floor. Here we have one storage room, or workshop and next to it a rustic bar room with fully equipped kitchen, with a door to the rear of the house. There is a small patio with access to the land. On the left hand side we have a rustic stone annex, where we find a large bread or pizza oven, a bbq and a sink and plenty of space to store fire wood. To the left, there is another annex, housing a washing machine and a freezer, and a bathroom with separate shower cubicle, toilet and pedestal sink.
Next to the house there is a large garage with space for three cars.
The land is accessed either by bespoke patio to the rear of the house or by a path to the right of the house. There is also access to the land for a tractor at the bottom of the field. There is a large shed at the bottom of the land, which serves to accommodate a tractor, and contains a borehole with electric pump for irrigation purposes.
The land boasts a great number of beautiful mature olive trees, as well as orange and other fruit trees. There is plenty of fertile earth to grow vegetables.
The setting of this property is very quiet and peaceful. There are houses in the hamlet and on the lane which leads to the house, but most of them are not permanently inhabited but serve as weekend and holiday homes of people who live in Lisbon or in other larger cities.
The property is located 10 km from the town of Sertã. Sertã is a lively town with several supermarkets, shops, restaurants, banks, indoor and outdoor pools, a public library, schools, health centers, café bars, parks and municipal buildings and is easy to access off the IC8 dual carriageway.
It is 13 km from the popular river beach Trízio with water sports center, where we find a marina, a camp site, café and restaurant and picnic areas, rental facilities for boats and canoes, and a wake board cable park.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around two hours and ten minutes. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights to and from the United Kingdom and other European countries.
