A great advantage is that it has an easy access to the most famous southern Cretan beaches such as Ammoudi, Damnoni, Skinaria (for scuba diving), the exotic Preveli beach with the river flowing through the amazing palm forest towards the Libyan Sea, reachable by car in 15-20 minutes. Also the picturesque villages of Agia Galini and Plakias, as well as the beautiful beaches Souda, Polyrizos-Korakas (in Rodakino), Agios Pavlos, Ligres, Triopetra, Matala are easily accessible. Kourtaliotiko Gorge with its vertical cliffs up to 600m is less than 10min drive from the house.
