The nearest town is Ansiao which is just under 4 kms away. In Ansiao there are shops, cafes, restaurants, doctors, supermarket, mini-markets, pharmacy, vets and all facilities you would expect from a small town.

Pombal is 18kms away where there is a wider range of shops, restaurants, and also the train station and bus and coach station, To either airport via the train is approx 1.40 to the main station then a short metro ride to the airport.

The historic City of Coimbra is less than 45 minutes away and is the 3rd largest city in Portugal. Coimbra is a lovely city filled with culture, history, wonderful architecture and a thriving city center where you will find shops, cafes, restaurants, markets, museums, art galleries. There is rarely a day in Coimbra where there is not some outdoor entertainment that you can enjoy while sipping on some local wine in one of the many cafes throughout the city.

Tomar is between 35- 60 minutes away depending on whether you go via the toll road or the scenic route. Tomar is a very busy market town, where there are a variety of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, banks, shops, pharmacies, health centers and sports centers. It also has a very well respected University and Hospital. There is a bus and a train station in Tomar. There are many tourist attractions in and around Tomar including the Convento de Cristo which was built by the Knights Templar so is of significant historical importance throughout this area. There is also a very busy market here on Fridays.

Both airports via car are 1.40 to either Lisbon or Porto.
