Altinkum is a resort which has something for every age, whether you are young and want to play or just site on one of its long sandy beaches soaking up the sun’s rays, perhaps visit the fun fair at night, or you are into history and want to visit the ancient Temple of Apollo close by, and sample the local fish from the area in one of the lovely small restaurants close at hand in the evenings, you will find it.

Stroll along the sea front in the evening, sit for a meal or just a drink gaze across the sea at the north side of the Bodrum peninsula with its twinkling lights, you may even be lucky enough to watch one of the beach concerts in high seasons, there is always something going on. Don’t forget the shopping here too you will find just about everything.

Mavisher boasts a lovely traditional looking seafront, with small beach area, still retaining its small local character appeal, however there are some small bars and eating places in the summer months. The sea here is extremely blue, hence its name Mavi (Blue) which is the open sea between Turkey and its Greek neighbours.

At night in the season you will find the famous night market which is a very popular place to visit, it has its own small bus station and of course a short Dolmus ride of 5 minutes will take you to the aqua park a must for those with children. If you want a little more life, then hop on a Dolmus and take a 15 ride into Altinkum where you will find all the trappings of a larger tourist resort.
