Nigüelas is known locally as a culturally lively village. They hold many a fiesta including live concerts and carnivals to celebrate their local saint and there are an array of interesting bars and restaurants. It is a pretty whitewashed village that stands proud overlooking the valley of Lecrin and has a stunning gorge with interesting walks that can take you all the way to the highest peaks of the Sierra Nevada. It well known by locals for just that.
Nigüelas is located just off of the A-44 motorway which takes you down to the coast and to golf courses, or up into the historic city centre of Granada in around half an hour. The ski resort is around 45 minutes away.
