THE APARTMENT

Set on the first floor and one of only four apartments, one enters the house into a spacious living room area equipped with a fireplace. A door leads to a massive tiled covered balcony with views of the Aegean Sea as well as the village of Kontomari with its church standing above the village. A separate fully-tiled WC is also on this floor.

The spacious and light kitchen is separated from the living room and is equipped with numerous light grey-coloured cupboards for storage, a full-size hob, an oven, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. There is plenty of space for a dining table. From the kitchen a door opens onto another covered terrace.

A hallway from the living room leads to the two double bedrooms and the family bathroom. The bedrooms are each equipped with full-size wardrobes and cupboards. The master bedroom has French doors opening onto a private balcony with sea views while the guest bedroom opens onto the large covered balcony, shared with the living room.

The bathroom is fully tiled with blue and white tiles and is equipped with a bathtub. Two double windows provide lots of light and one can enjoy the luxury of spectacular sea and countryside views while taking a bath.

From the kitchen balcony stairs lead up to a large private roof terrace, part of which is covered by a pergola providing shade for the hot sunny days. A BBQ is built on the terrace and from here one can enjoy unobstructed views of the sea, the village and the surrounding countryside. A great spot for wining and dining or relaxing in the sun in full privacy!

There is extra storage space provided on the ground level of the apartment building as well as a private parking space.

THE AREA

Kontomari is a historical village near the popular resorts of Platanias and Maleme in Western Crete.

Just two kilometres away you will find the beach of Pirgos Psilonerou. The villages of Maleme and Gerani have a great choice of restaurants and tavernas as well as a number of amenities all year round.

Only a 7-minute drive or bus ride away you will be in the bustling resort of Platanias with its' sandy beach, restaurants, tavernas, bars and clubs.

The ancient capital of Chania is full of charm and sophistication and is only 20 minutes away. Here you can wander through the meandering cobbled streets and admire the ancient architecture.
