The town is surrounded by mountains and agricultural land and is an ideal area for keen walkers, runners and cyclists. The mayor of Sucina is very good at organizing events throughout the year to keep those that like a bit of social life and Spanish culture happy. There are quite a few british people that live here permanently and have holiday homes.
