The star of the show is without a doubt the 300 year old banyan tree which over the years, grew creating arches of twisted roots and branches providing a perfect spot to enjoy afternoon teas, sheltered from the sun.

Winding narrow paths throughout the gardens allow for contemplation of the extensive varieties of ginger flowers, fruit trees and tropical plants. 

The Banyan Tree is part of the old Morning Star Estate where the owners of the Morning Star Plantation likely lived. Scattered through the property are various stone remains, many integrated in the landscaping.1
 
Main House:  With almost three floors of living space, the main house consists of a large living/dining area with wide openings embracing the view of the Caribbean Sea. An adjacent covered terrace provides a wonderful spot for breakfast or dinners al fresco.

Painted in pastel colours with a wraparound veranda that encompasses views of the beautiful gardens and the sea. A well sized bedroom with its own bathroom and small, functional kitchen give full autonomy to the visitor.

Various sitting areas allow for different activities during the day. A covered terrace facing the sea is ideal for the painting lessons given by the owners. The cozy table set up at the foot of the magnificent Banyan tree is conducive to reading or enjoying an afternoon tea. 

The separate lot of 1 acre has several stone walls built to retain the top soil. It has been cleared so not to obstruct the views from the main house.

The area immediately surrounded the house and guests’ accommodation bursts with colours from multiple potted flowers, orchids while the various herbs grown for the kitchen fill it with fragrance.

The main house remodelled and enlarged by the current owners shortly after they bought it, is very open, bright and spacious. 

Immediately behind the main house, across a small courtyard is the guest cottage with 2 large bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. A veranda runs along the length of the cottage.

Away from the main accommodation is the charming Bamboo Cottage. With its own access gates, the cottage is equipped with a small kitchen, large bedroom and bathroom giving total privacy to its guests.
