Full Description

Here we have an impressive and large 3 Bedroom Stone-built Longere with garage in a well cared for Rural Hamlet, set in the Regional Park close to a delightful rural village and surrounded by its own grounds of 2665m2 giving privacy and a tranquil living environment.

Located in a nice hamlet, very individual, not overlooked, but not isolated. Private entrance with parking to the front of the property.

There are a couple of stone outbuildings and a large garage, with double glazed doors, tiled floor and little first floor, which could easily be converted into a studio.

The land is all around the property and is easy to maintain level lawns. Plus a parcel of land attached for the animals. The fosse/drainage system would need to be inspected to confirm if it conforms to current regulations. The longere has a recent roof and was renovated to a very high standard a few years ago.

There are solar panels on the garage roof, giving the property a yearly income of approximately 1,000 euros per annum.

Accommodation:

Doorway into kitchen which then leads to the dining area and lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped, the dining area enough room to seat around 8 guests. The lounge has a cozy wood burning fire and double patio doors onto the rear terrace and gardens.

Off the kitchen is a very useful utility room and a study, currently used as a third bedroom, this in the part of the property which is an extension to the original stone longere.

A wooden stairway from the kitchen dining area to a double bedroom, a fabulous, large bathroom with jacuzzi bath, shower, twin sinks and WC, then the master bedroom which is a large suite with velux windows flooding the room with light.

The department of Finistere has a feeling of being carved out of the earth by the sea and is the wildest area of Brittany, it is also the most western of all French departments. The name Finistere comes from the Latin phrase 'finis terrae', meaning 'land's end'.

It has the English Channel to the north, Cotes-d'Armor and Morbihan to the east, the Bay of Biscay to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.

Quimper, the department's capital, is located to the south and has a distinctive Breton character just like all the main towns such as Brest, Chateaulin, Morlaix and Quimper. Over a third of the area is covered with forest, moors and scrubland.

Along the coast, farmers divide their time between commercial fishing and working their small farms. To see the Fish-markets, Douarnenez is worth a visit as is Brest which is on the west coast and is also a major naval port.
