Full Description

REDUCED in price - Detached COUNTRYSIDE PROPERTY recently renovated with taste. Land of over 5,000m2 and OUTBUILDINGS to develop plus a workshop.

This lovely property has recently been fully modernised in keeping with a farmhouse feel. There is private parking,a workshop and outbuildings in stone to renovate, subject to planning applications. There is a a gravel courtyard to the side with a decked area to the rear of the lounge accessed by patio doors and a field behind, with stables over the lane

This home is situated in a hamlet in the countryside with other properties, but no neighbours either side.

Accommodation:

Is accessed either through the small porch way at the front, or through a side door leading directly into the smart utility room with ground floor WC.

The kitchen is off the utility and is a large farmhouse style kitchen completely, and lovingly crafted with wood. The wood in the kitchen is 'pippy oak' from a tree felled on the Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire. Here, in the kitchen, is a feature fireplace fitted with a wood burning stove.

A study room is off the kitchen, then a small lounge area, leading to the main lounge, which is a lovely and bright and has solid oak French doors to the rear decked area. Above the lounge there could be the possibility to add a further bedroom, of course a stairway would be required.

From the middle smaller lounge a stairway to a landing area, which has a fireplace and is a nice area to read, or relax, plus a good size master bedroom with crafted built in wardrobes and a modern en-suite with shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin.
Another stairway to the second bedroom in the eaves and a small room off this to place the second en-suite bathroom.

The outbuildings are over the lane and one is a super Stone Longere type building with planning permission in place to make it into a dwelling. Plus a stable barn with a loft.

Also a car port and workshop with electricity. The workshop has a double garage, with a gated entrance.
The windows are wooden and double glazed.

There is a new waste water drainage system, which was installed in 2011 which conforms to current regulations.
There is a lovely feel to this home and a viewing is recommended.

The department of Finistere has a feeling of being carved out of the earth by the sea and is the wildest area of Brittany, it is also the most western of all French departments. The name Finistere comes from the Latin phrase 'finis terrae', meaning 'land's end'.

It has the English Channel to the north, Cotes-d'Armor and Morbihan to the east, the Bay of Biscay to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.

Quimper, the department's capital, is located to the south and has a distinctive Breton character just like all the main towns such as Brest, Chateaulin, Morlaix and Quimper. Over a third of the area is covered with forest, moors and scrubland.

Along the coast, farmers divide their time between commercial fishing and working their small farms. To see the Fish-markets, Douarnenez is worth a visit as is Brest which is on the west coast and is also a major naval port.
