What a fantastic start to 2026, kicking off the year with our first flagship A Place in the Sun Live exhibition at Manchester Central! From the 27th February - 1st March, we brought the sunshine back to the North West and landed in Manchester to help house hunters from around the UK take the next step towards buying a property or moving overseas. Over the course of three incredible days, 4,625 people joined us - each bringing their own plans, price ranges, preferred destinations, and vision of a dream home. What connected everyone was a shared ambition: securing their own slice of sunshine!
It was a pleasure to meet so many of you face-to-face, talk through your plans, and guide you through the questions that come with purchasing property or relocating overseas. We hope our conversations gave you clarity and confidence for the journey ahead.

It wouldn't be a A Place in the Sun Live exhibition without the amazing TV presenters! Over the three days, we were joined by Laura Hamilton and Jasmine Harman who brought along their behind-the-scenes stories from the TV show, expert advice and top tips for buying or moving abroad. Visitors also had the chance to chat with them in person about their house hunting journeys, snap a selfie and get a signing!
Did you spot another familiar face on stage this weekend? You might have recognised her from A Place in the Sun TV show! We were delighted to welcome house hunter Stephanie, who appeared on the show back in 2021. From the excitement of property viewings to unexpected twists in the French countryside, Stephanie joined Jasmine on stage to share the story of her journey - from filming A Place in the Sun to turning her dream of living in France into a reality.
Estate agents, property specialists and thousands of properties
Visitors had direct access to a wide range of experts from across the international property market. From experienced estate agents and financial advisers to legal professionals and currency specialists, they were on hand throughout the event to share invaluable advice and practical guidance. Alongside expert support, attendees were also able to explore a diverse selection of properties available overseas - all under one roof - making it easier than ever to turn inspiration into a tangible next step.
Expert-led seminars
The stages were buzzing all weekend, with audiences eager to hear from a panel of experts. From navigating overseas legal requirements to understanding tax, finance, relocation logistics and smart property-hunting tips, the free seminar programme was designed to arm aspiring buyers with everything they need to move forward feeling informed, prepared and confident about their next big step in the sun.
A Place in the Sun Currency
Our fantastic A Place in the Sun Currency team were on hand throughout the show, meeting visitors face-to-face at Manchester Central and offering expert guidance on managing currency for overseas property purchases and relocations. It was great to see so many of you taking positive steps towards your dream move abroad.
TV show auditions!
Lights, camera ... house hunt! The production team were on a mission all weekend, scouting for the next stars of A Place in the Sun TV show, with screen tests taking place throughout the three days. Who knows ... maybe next year some of this year’s visitors will return - not sitting in the audience, but stepping into the spotlight and sharing their own “we found the one” moment on stage!
