Here we pick ten of the best ski properties on sale as the season kicks off.

1) One-bed bolthole in charming Châtel: €225,156 (£186,987)

Lovely one-bed property in Châtel: straddling the French-Swiss border and part of the vast Portes du Soleil. An absolute steal at under £200k, the property is next to a new ski lift (Lac De Vonnes) for even quicker access to the slopes.

2) One-bed apartment in popular Meribel: €567,000 (£470,994)
