Whitney Houstons New Jersey mansion on sale for 1.75 million USD

After years of being on and off the market, the New Jersey mansion which played home to recently deceased Whitney Houston and ex husband Bobby Brown has been advertised as a private listing for $1.75 million.

The 12,600-square-foot spread is only being shown to pre-approved buyers who've got at least $1.5 million in liquid assets.

Contemporary in design, the home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, and is located on five acres of land in Mendham, a small township about 40 miles west of downtown Manhattan. It was constructed in 1992 and features stained glass, high ceilings, domed skylights and large windows creating a modern and light-filled space.

The house featured prominently as the setting for 2005 reality TV show 'Being Bobby Brown¹ which was shot during the time the couple were still together.

It has been significantly reduced in price since the last time it was listed, in 2009, when it was on the market for an asking price of $2.5 million.

During her career Houston sold over 200 million albums and singles worldwide, and holds the all-time record for the most American Music Awards of any female solo artist.
