Laura Hamilton from Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun and husband Alex Goward, today reopened Lord Roberts on The Green in Purley.
Further to its closure last summer, they have reinstated the Post Office and Laura is now officially the registered Post Mistress. Lord Roberts on The Green is set to become a must stop destination for locals, offering a coffee shop and convenience store with a selection of artisan produce.
Laura says: “We’ve been really passionate about bringing Lord Roberts on The Green back, and hope it becomes a huge asset to the community as well as a destination for meeting friends and family.
“It’s been challenging, managing the refurb, juggling two small children, filming the latest series of A Place in the Sun, and setting up a small business. But we’ve been so motivated by the positive feedback we’ve received along the way.
“We’ll run seasonal events and courses for both the young and old and are going to be selling some of our favourite produce too. It’s been a delight working with some really unique and well-loved artisan brands. Alex and I can’t wait to welcome everyone.”
