Having fallen in love with each other four years ago, Elaine & Nicos Nicolaou then fell in love with Kefalonia, and are looking to get back to their Greek roots by buying a property there. For their budget of £60,000 Jasmine Harman shows them five properties in the beautiful south of the island, but will any of them be the place of their dreams?

Property 1:

One bed house in Minies

Traditional style 1950s single storey house with great sea views and close to the airport. There's a living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and a private patio from which to enjoy the view. The agents are Mantas Real Estate and the price is €52,000.

Property 2:

Four bed house in Mousata

Priced at €100,000, this two storey detached house is divided into two flats, each with an open plan layout, two bedrooms and bathroom. Outside there's a landscaped garden and large terrace with sea views. The house is close to the beach and is on the market with Cosmos Properties.

Property 3:

Two bed pre-fabricated cottage in Vlahata

Built in the 1970s, this cottage takes full advantage of stunning sea views. It has two reasonably sized bedrooms, bathroom, lounge and separate kitchen. Outside there are fruit trees and a gated parking area. It is on the market with Mantas Real Estate for €50,000.

Property 4:

Two bed house in Chaliotata village, Sami

Two storey building consisting of a ground floor apartment and warehouse basement. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, a small family bathroom and open plan living accommodation with kitchen. The house also has great sea views. Priced at €60,000, it's on the market with Enos Properties.

Property 5:

Two bed detached house in Kalavathos village

Currently a work in progress, this house has great views of both mountains and sea. There's potential to extend and the property comes with a garden. On the market with Vinieris Real Estate with an asking price of €85,000.
