The lush trees around the house act as windbreaks in winter and provide shade in summer.

There are numerous picturesque little villages in the surrounding area, and about 14 km away, perched on a hill, is the charming, lively little town of Massa Marittima with sweeping views over the Maremma to Elba. Here you will find excellent shopping opportunities, many bars and restaurants, as well as exhibitions and concerts in the magnificent cathedral. The sea and the seaside resort of Follonica are about 35 minutes away by car. In the evening, you can stroll along the well-maintained beach promenade and stop off at a variety of restaurants.

Access is via a 1.5 km white road.
