In the idyllic hilltop town of Rodì Milica, 45 minutes from Messina and 4km from the north coast, Case Anna is a pair of private apartments in a residence of five homes. Both have shared access to the little community's private swimming pool.

TWO-BEDROOM APARTMENT WITH ANTIQUE CHARM
The first apartment is full of character, evident in its dark wooden ceilings and the exposed stonework on its walls. You'll find a living room with a kitchen on the ground floor, and upstairs are a pair of bedrooms and a really nice bathroom with a shower.
The main entrance is from the courtyard at the centre of the residence, but the guest bedroom has a back door onto the alleyway which runs behind the complex. The master bedroom has a fabulous view of the roofs of Rodì and the green hills that encircle it.
ONE-BEDROOM HOME WITH ROOF TERRACE
The second apartment measures 68m2, with a single open-plan living space upstairs and a bedroom with an en-suite downstairs, It has a pair of terraces – one on the roof which is built over the bathroom, and another in wood which is lower town, overlooking the swimming pool. The former gives you a little bit of sea view in the distance.
The living room is a bright and cheery space, with a sturdily built and colourful kitchen including an oven, fridge freezer and washing machine. The bedroom is partially underground, cosy and warm even in the short Sicilian winters.
PEACE AND QUIET IN THIS FRIENDLY RURAL SETTING
Everything you'd imagine a small Sicilian village to be, Rodì Milici is rustic and ravishing. There are enough visitors in the season that some of the apartments in the residence do a good trade as rental homes, but nothing here feels like it's for the benefit of visitors. You can live on local produce and sleep and wake to the rhythms of nature.
The lovely Tonnarella beach, barely ten minutes away, gives you clear waters and stunning sunsets, and the green slopes of Mount Etna and the Nebrodi Natural Park are both just around the corner. Nearby Milazzo is the gateway to the volcanic Aeolian Islands, and chic Taormina is only 30km to the south.
