Velefique is a small village nestled in the Sierra de los Filabres mountains. The village is home to a couple of bars to enjoy a drink with tapas or lunch/evening meals. There is also a municipal swimming pool open during the summer months. In the main square you will find the town hall building, an ATM, café and pharmacy. There is also another basic supermarket within the village.
Tabernas is a larger town just a 15 minute drive from the property which is home to more amenities whilst the city of Almeria is just a 40 minute drive away. Some of the best beaches in the province can be found in and around Almeria city. Almeria airport is the closest airport, approx. 40 mins away. Granada Airport is approx. 1 hour and 50 minutes, Murcia airport at 2 hours and 15 minutes with Alicante and Malaga airports reached in just under 3 hours.
